BREAKING NEWS: Governor Seyi Makinde, Appreciates the efforts of Man O' War Nigeria in Oyo State.

Oyo State Governor 'Seyi Makinde said Thursday that his administration plans to hire officers from Man O' War Nigeria to help provide security and surveillance to the state's primary and secondary schools.
The governor, who made it known when he received the national executives of Man O 'War Nigeria on a courtesy visit to his office, explained that the recent trend in student kidnapping, among other security challenges, had been become worrying.

A statement by the governor's Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, quoted the governor as urging the organization to redouble its efforts at the grassroots in order to contribute its quota to stem the tide of insecurity in the country.
The Governor said: “I can witness the role that Man O 'War played during the 2015 and 2019 elections. Then, I will renew my commitment to Man O' War and resume sponsoring in a personal capacity, so that when I am no longer the Governor, I will continue to do so. "
“In terms of security, the nation faces insecurity challenges right now everywhere and here also in Oyo state, we have been dealing with kidnappings, clashes between farmers and herders and people have suddenly become temperamental.
“So this is a period when Man O 'War will need to redouble his efforts and seek out programs at the grassroots level where we can project more on the issue of citizenship and leadership for our country.

“In schools, we have talked before with the Commissioner of Education about the issue of safety.
But this idea of deploying Man O 'War for security and surveillance is a welcome idea. We will look at the proposal and we should involve the national or state Command Team to make sure this can see the light of day and I think that is something we will do.”
The governor also took the opportunity to donate two utility vehicles to Man O 'War Oyo State Command and one for the National Command.
